About

The Owensville Terminal Railroad is a fictional railroad company set in south-central Missouri. The railroad connects with the Missouri Pacific (Hermann, Missouri), Rock Island (Owensville, Missouri), and Frisco (Cuba, Missouri).

Two sections are modeled as separate layouts. The Owensville Agricultural Switching & Industrial Services District, also known as OASIS, is a 1' x 8' H0 scale layout based on the track plan design of Linda Sand (Model Railroader Magazine) and the late Stein Rypern.  This layout features the former 4th Street classification yard that now serves as an industrial yard.  A shelf extension to the OASIS District layout is currently under construction.  The shelf extension connects at the left side of the Fourth Street Yard portion of the layout.  The shelf extension features a grocery warehouse that is served by a local out of Fourth Street Yard.  The shelf extension is 8 inches wide and 10 feet long.

The second layout is separate from the OASIS District Layout.  The Owensville Terminal Micro (481 square inches) represents a branch line terminus (Stephenson Branch) located just north of Oak Hill, Missouri that serves a feed mill. The Stephenson Branch was once part of the original mainline before a realignment regulated it to branch line status in 1962.
